\u2018Paper chains<\/b> are making a comeback this Christmas<\/b>! It is such a nice memory for so many of us who remember sitting with our parents as kids making home-made paper chains and then wrapping them around the Christmas\u2019s tree. Make the chains out of shiny, marble- effect paper and then use masking tape to tape both ends to the ceiling over your dining table they can make a fun, eye-catching feature!\u2019<\/p>\n\n

\u2018Here at Mini Moderns HQ<\/b><\/a> we are both big fans of Christmas<\/b>. As the one time of the year that we take a full week off from running our business, it marks a natural point to reflect on the year, and on previous years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The nostalgia starts with decorating the tree<\/b>. Over the past 20 years we have amassed a collection of baubles that have specific memories attached, and these all come flooding back as we unpack the decoration box. Some remind us of where they were purchased, and many have been given to us by friends and family, and so have special significance.<\/p>\n\n

Our nostalgic indulgence doesn’t stop us from indulging in the key decorating trends<\/b>, and over the years we\u2019ve tried them all – from naturals, to all-white, via dried fruit. At the moment, we\u2019re enjoying an eclectic mix with a strong nod to the mid-century colour palette.<\/p>\n\n

Our love of Christmas<\/b> definitely developed as youngsters, when Christmas was all about watching craft projects on Blue Peter. Who can forget the annual creation of the advent crown? So, we always like to indulge our nostalgic side with some kind of craft project. This year we\u2019ve made a wreath from our wallpapers, which perfectly ties in with our mid-century colourful theme.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n
