Photo Credit: RHS Special Events<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h1><strong>Discover our alternative red carpet<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Floral fashion<\/strong> is in full bloom at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/shows-events\/rhs-chelsea-flower-show\"><strong>RHS Chelsea Flower Show<\/strong><\/a> and our <strong>Queen<\/strong> is the fairest of all the <strong>Royal<\/strong> visitors. \u00a0We always anticipate what she will be wearing.<\/p>\n\n<p>Here at <strong>Alternative Flooring<\/strong> we are blushing with pride. Why? Well because we made the floral \u2018alternative red carpet\u2019 that <strong>The Queen<\/strong> walked along at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/shows-events\/rhs-chelsea-flower-show\/2016\/Articles\/rhs-chelsea-charity-gala-2017-preview\"><strong>RHS Chelsea Flower Show Charity Gala Preview<\/strong><\/a> on Monday 22 May. Yes, she stepped on our lowers of Thorpe, a famous <strong>Liberty<\/strong> floral pattern expertly woven into glorious carpet for the first time by <strong>Alternative Flooring<\/strong>.\u00a0 We even sent swatches of the carpet to the <strong>Palace<\/strong> to inspire <strong>Royal fashion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The story began when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/shows-events\/rhs-chelsea-flower-show\"><strong>RHS Chelsea Flower Show<\/strong><\/a> spotted our award-winning carpet design in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houseandgarden.co.uk\/\"><strong>House &amp; Garden<\/strong><\/a> and asked if they could collaborate with <strong>Alternative Flooring<\/strong> on the grand <strong>Gala<\/strong> entrance. <strong>Alternative Flooring<\/strong> then made the 19 linear metre piece which was expertly cut in two to create a resplendent 38 linear metre runner. This joyful pattern is now re-imagined as carpet and made in Britain\u2013 where it is woven on axminster looms in Wilton, Salisbury.<\/p>\n\n<p>Giving this desirable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libertylondon.com\/uk\/department\/fabric\/\"><strong>Liberty Print<\/strong><\/a> a new visualisation as flooring brings it into our interiors in a refreshing way, that can follow a contemporary or vintage path.<\/p>\n\n<p>Florals are in fashion with summer catwalks loving these go-to prints.
