World of Wool at the Wool BnB, Campaign for Wool<\/em><\/p>\n\n

The first Wool BnB<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Campaign for Wool<\/em><\/a> marked its seventh successful year with its annual Wool Week<\/em> in October that celebrated all things woolly.<\/p>\n\n

Alternative<\/a> loves wool<\/a> and we swiftly got into the spirit for Woolly Hat Day to help The Campaign for Wool<\/a> and its friends at \u2018Mission to Seafarers<\/a>\u2019 to fundraise and support their incredible work.<\/p>\n\n

But our highlight of Wool Week was taking part in The Campaign for Wool<\/a>\u2019s first ever Wool BnB where everything from carpets to cardigans was made of this most natural of fibres.<\/p>\n\n

This BnB in cool North London welcomed guests warmly. The Campaign for Wool<\/a>\u2019s brand kitted out the whole house, which starred vibrant rugs from Alternative Flooring with Liberty Fabrics<\/em><\/a> \u2013 Strawberry Meadow<\/em><\/a>, Flowers of Thorpe<\/em><\/a> and Felix Raison<\/em><\/a> paisley. It really was a joyful house dressed from floor to ceiling with interiors and fashion designs made of Wool including our friends Sofa.com,<\/em> Melin Tregwynt, Fine Cell Work <\/em>and wool art by Jessica Dance<\/em>. Apart from our collection we loved the bedroom, which boasted a luxury wool-filled mattresses, pillows, duvets, cosy blankets and nightwear showing how wool aids a good night\u2019s sleep. Guests could even have a woolly overnight stay with a knitted breakfast. There was even a Shepherds\u2019 hut and a few sheep in the back garden!<\/p>\n\n

Every year The Campaign for Wool create something very special and the Wool B&B received terrific support from the media with lots of press visits.<\/p>\n\n

About The Campaign for Wool<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Campaign for Wool<\/a> was launched in 2010 to educate\u00a0consumers about the benefits of wool, promote wool-rich products to a national audience\u00a0and help to support and grow the wool industry. Run by a coalition of industry groups convened by HRH\u00a0The Prince of Wales, the campaign works to engage consumers through exciting fashion, interiors, artisan and design lead activities centering around Wool Week each year.<\/p>\n\n

The Campaign for Wool<\/a> is jointly funded by some of the largest wool grower organisations in the world. Key nation partners include the British Wool Marketing Board<\/a>, Australian Wool Innovation\/The Woolmark Company<\/a>, Cape Wools South Africa<\/a> and Campaign for Wool New Zealand<\/a>. All have shown incredible support and contributed to the global success of His Royal Highness\u2019s Campaign for Wool since its inception.<\/p>\n\n\n
